Daily Vet Still Vacating...Let the Nurses Do Their Job

In my mind I’m still on vacation. And, although I’m back in town sleeping in my own bed, I’ll not be back to work until tomorrow. So, technically, I’m still vacating. Especially since my eight-year-old is still with his grandparents in Disney World for the next few days. Forget Key Largo, life sans child for a week…now that’s a vacation.

Nonetheless, I could not help driving over to work to see what’s been happening with my sickies. Most actually seem to be thriving, in spite of their poor odds. Mushu’s huge, swollen face is looking almost normal and she’s walking around much better. It’s amazing what some TLC and good nursing will do.

So much for doctoring. I think I’ll go on vacation more often and let the nurses do their thing. I’ve always thought care was the key to good medicine anyway.
