Tuesday. Another day off (supposedly) with a morning full of doctorly duties. Some updates for you:

• It looks like my little stiff-legged kitty will have to have his leg amputated. His stiffness is not easily resolvable without severe, continuous pain. I have no stomach for the daily sessions and his parents have no funds for the continuous intensive care he needs. Even with all the money in the world, I would elect to amputate rather than put him through such routinely painful and stressful ministrations.

• Our poultry-impersonating pup (with a bellyful of chicken feed) is slowly recovering via continuous, corn-infused bowel movements (mmm…pretty). I’d like to see him again but his family hasn’t scheduled a follow-up (for reasons I can’t fathom).

• I had to euthanize the old lady, a malignant melanoma case from last month. She’s running (limp-free) somewhere else now.
