ha ha reminds me of a similar James Heriot story. Can't think of the name right now.

I didn't know my training clients the Hystericals moved to Florida ! <g>
You have inspired me to write a story about mismatched dogs and owners.
What makes the Hystericals think they are terrier worthy?

An interesting aside is that they both need to be present so that one owner doesn't come home with only part of the story. :) so living at home with them is another thing yet.

But I can relate to a lesser degree! As an owner with a medical background, when my nonmedical hubby fits a simple vet visit into his schedule and comes home with the dog -- as I examine the dog and any prescriptions he brings home (injured toenail or whatever) he can't remember the names of anything nor procedures -- but only summarizes with 'it's done, it's good'. Dropping a dog off in the AM for OFA xrays (with anesthesia) and picking the dog up in the afternoon, he's just not as keen reiterating on how the vet explains his/her best guess on the xray film before the dog goes home. sigh...
