You are 4 months older than me. I wil not say my age either. :)

My mom was not as nice as yours. We had Scruffy, a stray mutt my father picked up in the neighborhood. Scruffy loved me. He would try to get into my crib and play with me, and if I cried, he' badger my parents into taking care of me. Mom got sick of this very quickly, and the dog "disappeared" before I was a month old. Dogs went in and out of my life this way- Dad brought them home, mom took them to the pound after a year or so. My brother has gotten his petcaring habits from her. He gets rid of his pets when he doesn't want them any more.

I have one of his cats- the kitten he gave his wife when she was pregnant with their second child plus the 2 cats and dog they already had. He got it because it was "cute."

I have 3 other cats and 2 dogs, and when I take something home, it's for life.

I worship your perspective on animals for life. I wish it were possible for everyone to feel the same way.
