Is anyone else out there having trouble posting comments? If so--I'm sorry. Construction of the new and improved Dolittler is giving me a few bugs. Thanks for your patience.

Sometimes I have arguments with the captcha. But usually I don't have trouble. Sometimes I just can't think of anything worth saying.

I'm sorry about Peaches. I know you did the best you could.

People say "You'll know when it's time," but that has not been my experience. Sometimes I hang on to the words "You did the best you could, and if you were wrong, God forgives." Those of us who are not veterinarians sometimes want to think the veterinarian doesn't feel the pain of euthanasia and doesn't struggle with decisions. Having gone through it several times being there for my animals as they leave this world, I know that my veterinrian feels it keenly.

I understand why it would be distressing to you for a dog to die on her own. People wish for that, not realizing it can mean the dog suffered when we could have relieved that suffering. It certainly sounds to me, though, like You did the best you could, and if you were wrong, God forgives.

God bless,
Kathy Diamond Davis

I'm so sorry; what a heartwrenching situation to have been in.
