Pregnant at 10 years old. How sad.

I used to work at a vet and once took home a cat that needed overnight observation. (small town, no 24 hour places near us) It was all good but yes it was a tad stressful thinking about what could go wrong.

LOVE your blog. Had no idea you were a frenchie person too. Just adds to my pleasure.

Tail wags!

I enjoy what I've seen thus far in your blog...
Just curious, though, as to why you think an OHE "significantly" increases postop pain?
It's standard of care for me -- I've had perhaps two owners talk me out of spaying a C-section in almost 20 yrs...besides I can work faster when I DON'T have to worry about salvaging that fragile uterus ;-) !

Good for you I'd say. You've always got to balance the possible increased risks away from the clinic equipment alongside a considerably more relaxed environment for the pet (and the clinician). It is all too easy to get defensive about patient care because of litigation worries but the day I don't do what my heart tells me is correct ,as well as my head, is in my opinion the day that I stop caring and should quit.
Love the blog .. only just found it .. will be back regularly
