Probably the game ranks players by the speed at which they find the "correct" diagnosis and prescribe the "correct" treatment, or perhaps the number of mistakes in the process. I'm sure it's like Phoenix Wright (a lawyer game) where there is a "right" answer to every situation, which of course is NOT reality.

I imagine if anything is wrong, it'll be more damaging than good for you. It may not give you as much information that you are used to, and you have to diagnosis it as one thing, and you would normally think about 6 things, and want more info. Sounds like huge frustration to a real vet to me.

I am a pre-vet student and I LOVE your blog, thanks for updating it so much.
When I saw Petz Vet in Wal-Mart a few weeks ago I bought it right away. Now, I've never been much of a computer game player, they generally don't interest me. So that must be considered in my opinion. I enjoy the Petz Vet because I learn new things, it is not easy to know what to do if you are not a vet. It also has a little animal trivia game through which I have learned alot.
So from a non-vet, its ok. Better than nothing and good for learning. But, its not as though I can't pry myself away from it.

Consider getting a TV just for the HBO shows. That's what we do. It's nice to have something to watch with great story lines and characters. Oh, and we watch the Office, which is hilarious. The rest of it is just crap.

I rent the HBO shows I like (I watch them on the computer). Deadwood's my favorite (but don't hold it against me).
