The Boston Road Animal Hospital in Springfield Ma is a very expensive place to take your dog or cat. Two years ago they built a rehab center for cats and dogs. Now they can refer patients to the rehab center and not lose any money.

Once clients see that you care enough about their pets to refer them, they will continue to be your clients forever. One must think about what's best for the animal.
I often wonder if an internship or residency will be mandatory for vet students in the future....

While managing the care of our shepherd/chow mix with cancer, we had a number of vets that we spoke with: The general vet, the oncologist he referred us to, the radiation oncologist, the surgeon, and the alternative therapy vet.

The first general vet and the first oncologist were not all that pleased that we were seeking recommendations from other vets (since their recommendations consisted of "How about euthanasia?"), so we fired them and found a new general vet and new oncologist.
