Oh Dr. Patty, I'm so sorry you had such a horrible day! The way I get over days like that is in knowing I will get a few good ones in coming soon, it's karmic, you know?
Hope things go better for you today!

I think I would still be hiding under the bed after a day like that. I'm very impressed you're still upright.

Back to work today, eh? So sorry your day was so awful. I have also adopted the technique of blogging about at least some of my bad days - like yesterday. Today is/will be better, I swear!

How are you not fetal?

Lol......I kid. But still, sounds awful. I feel bad for you. I always wonder- when I'm in the midst of shit storm (i.e. at the airport), and some lunatic goes crazy on the poor check-in people- why people lose their sense of the big picture? It does no one any good and 99.9% of the time it makes a bad situation worse.

I hope your week is a bit brighter!

ps - in about a week I will need to change my handle to "Amy in Somerville".....but it's still me.

Dr Patty - how do you do it? I would have needed tranquilizers after the cut foot, let alone everything else you had to cope with.

I think I would have been in tears far sooner. Now go stock up on some Lindt chocolate truffles or other favorite chocolate therapy for the future. It changes nothing but gives you some guilt free comfort food time. You earned it after all.

That was a 'lay down and just let the day stomp all over you' kind of day.
And the ipod was the final kick.
So sorry.....

My suggestion after a day like that would be some yummy yarn and a new knitting project (I have some laceweight Merino I'm trying to find the time for).
