That's great that you're enjoying it so much. :)

Do you still hang out on Dogster? If so, you may want to join the "Home Cooked Food and Recipes" group:

It's a great, active group and there's lots of good information there about home-cooking. :)

I reviewed a few pet cookbooks on my blog recently: http://www.theblogpound.com/index.php/weblog/comme...

One of them was "Real Food for Dogs". It's an okay book if you really want to cook a variety of foods, but none of the recipes are, in and of themselves, nutritionally complete. In other words, you couldn't pick one favourite recipe and just cook it every day. The book is designed for supplemental feeding.

The book I liked best was "The Whole Pet Diet", especially if you want cooked recipes.

We've been using "Home-Prepared Dog and Cat Diets" by Donald Stromback. It's going well so far.

You also explained my new life as a dog chef - to the tee. Thanks for the much needed chuckles during this heart wrenching, concerned time with our pets that we are all going through (If we are fortuante enough to still have our pets in Life). And wait 'til you start making dog biscuits - real fun! ; )
