OK, so it’s live now, not really Beta at all (I’m not even sure what that means, really). Nonetheless, I’m all nervous about Dolittler’s newest incarnation. Will you like it? Will it work?
Just so you know, Dolittler 2.0 will be arriving in stages over the next few weeks (including new visuals), so if you didn’t get everything you asked for don’t worry, it’s probably on its way.
And you’ll have to wait a few more days for podcast items, OK? All I have up so far is silly Vincent and sweet departed Helen.
Please please play with the Virtual Vet Hospital and tell me what you think. I’m happy to field as many questions as you have via email or in this post’s comments.
Thanks!!

You changed the font and text size in the body of the posts - is it possible to change it back? It's not as pretty as the old font. Maybe you could keep the old font but make it bigger? FWIW, just a picky design issue.....times roman....boo.
Otherwise it's looking great. I panicked this morning when the site was down...lol.....

Creature of Habit: I tend to like serif fonts and live and die by Times and Times New Roman. At least it's bigger!!!
PS: Sorry the podcast isn't working yet and there are still some stray images/bugs/etc that need to be worked out but play with it nonetheless.

Yeah, I like sans serif fonts too after spending 20+ years in the business of graphic design, but nothing beats the readability of a classic serif font. Thumbs up on the font change from me.

Rats...oh well.....I still love it here! ;)

OK, so is no one going to play? Early feedback here: Do you like the Virtual Vet Hospital? Does it actually make sense that you can load your own pets into the VVH? Is it obvious that it's a forum or is it too complicated? The copy under Vincent's pic isn't mine. I plan on changing it ASAP so things are more clear. Help, here, my dear friends?

oh, the VVH is for us to put things in? It wasn't clear to me what I should do when I clicked into it. I'm going back to check it out now...

I get an error message when I try to add an entry in the virtual vet hospital...

Okay, I got a post up using Firefox, but kept getting an error screen with Safari.

Hi there. I found you less than a week ago and have been enjoying going back and reading a couple of posts from each screenful. I'm wondering whether you ever see the comments written weeks, months, or more after the post date. I suspect that's not at the top of your To Do list right now, but am curious whether there's any point in posting comments for non-current posts.
I, too, appreciated the easier-to-read san-serif font you were using previously (or, perhaps, defaulting to previously). As a former graphic designer, I'll mention that the use of the serifs to guide the eye along a line of type is only necessary when the line lengths get longer. The line lengths on your blog are short, so I don't think it's worth the boring (ugly, to me) Times family. Whatever you decide on fonts, it would be extremely wonderful to have them one size larger.
(Oh -- typo in the descript of VVH: "picturess" (extra "s"). And, you might already be aware of it, but Steve Pavlina's blog on personal development has quite a lot of interesting/helpful posts on blog development: http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/)
This is a great blog and I'm happy I found it -- via Laurel Lagoni's PetPeopleHelp Insider blog. Keep up the good work, and thank you for all you offer us.

Virtual Animal Hospital didn't work for me but I was probably doing it wrong.

I didn't realize VVH was for us! I didn't realize.....
Creature of Habit February 28th, 2008 08:48:00 AM
OK, still not working. I'll keep you posted!

Changes on the way...for clarity and functionality. Thanks for your patience!

Hi Dr. Khuly----Tried to upload pre & post spinal surgery pics, came up with spanish language (I think) & the upload was no go.
Weirdly, I stopped receiving blogs via email, & signed up again. Maybe change of ??? Not too computer savvy on this stuff!!

Serif fonts are not awesome for dyslexics, who prefer their fonts unadorned :-( I also notice that links within the text are at least a font size bigger than the regular text around them. It's a little disruptive when you are reading.
I'm using Firefox, and when I am on the main page and click on a headline to read the article, the page jumps down about an inch but does not go to the article. If I click again, I get the article. Odd.

I have received no posts since (and including) this one. I have tried resubscribing, and subscribing with a different email address using a different domain, but nothing is coming through. I've turned off spam filtering and checked to be sure the posts aren't ending up there.
Has anyone else reported this problem? Any idea what I can do to fix it?
